Favourites

This is my favourite dress ever.
These are my favourite shoes ever. - I spontaneously bought them when out shopping with my Mum - Which usually ends up in a spending spree - and paid £100 for them but I tell you what they are the comfiest heels I've ever worn.. They are like the slippers with heels.... Almost.. :)
I love being a girly girl from time to time.. Especially when the sun comes out - Which is hardly ever!
My Dad however has just booked a holiday and we're going to ROME! I'm so excited it's unreal..
Has anyone been to Rome before?
Anything I need to go see?
 Give me details!!! Ahhh!!!

Casual Friday

Happy Friday gang!
I've recently bought this amazing pink oversized jumper from Topshop.. I absolutely looove it. I've been looking for one for ages and have seen so many blogs full of them so when I saw this little beauty I was over the moon :)

The trousers are old-school Topshop - Last summer I believe but i still love them. I always find with Topshop jeans though, that they begin to wear thin... Bit annoying.

Liptastic!

Lipstick can make such a big difference to a face-full of make-up and over the past couple years I've found that my face doesn't really feel complete without it as I've experimented more with make-up..
So i thought I'd blog my three FAVOURITE lipsticks ever ever to share with you all! :)
As you can see they have been well used and worth every penny!
Left to Right: Vegas Volt: Mac, My Treat: Benefit, Russian Red: Mac

The first lipstick that I love is 'My Treat' by Benefit.. This is a really moisterising lipstick and, although is very bright on the stick, comes out a light and fresh pink when applied. This is great for a quick 'pick me up' if you're making a more subtle appearance. This is one of Benefit's 'Silky Finish' lipsticks and has a really glossy look when it's on..I am a huge lover of all things Benefit..

Most people are drawn to MAC because of their gorgeous colours and wide variety but I can honestly say their lipsticks, for me, are probably the ones the feel the best on my lips and last the longest.
This one, 'Russian Red' is very heavy and will last on me nearly all day. If you don't want something quite so severe, I sometimes use this as a base and go over the top of it with something a bit lighter!

This has to be, out of the three, my all time fave. 'Vegas Volt' is a peachy orange colour which would look amazing on pretty much every skin tone. I own a lot of peachy-pink clothes as it seems to be a really popular colour at the moment and it matches fantastic with everything. You can make it more subtle by not applying as much for the day, but for a night out you can make a real statement with this lipstick. It also has a matte finish which I love but it isn't heavy when you put it on. - Sometimes i use it as a blush too as it's the kind of colour that works well on your cheeks.. But don't go too wild with it!! haha

As you can see they are all quite contrasting colours and each has a very different finish but are all so versatile ..
They are all quite bold statement colours but can be toned down easily or mixed and matched which is what i love!

I hope I've inspired you into your next lipstick purchase!

Nailsnailsnails..

I constantly have to have painted nails.. And have a pretty extensive nail polish collection..
Back beforeee I was a uni student and had plenty of dosh to splash.. I'd only buy OPI nail polish, and seeing as I worked at a beauty salon for a couple of years, I was constantly tempted by the shiny glossy polishes..
Now I spend most of my time complaining that I'm broke.. So if i do buy new polish, I take forever to decide and make sure it's just the right one..

Right now.. These two are my summer essentails - and seeing as the OPI one is so sparkly I think it's as necessary as mascara :) -
OPI - Rainbow Connection

Barry M - Peach Melba

I love it! It's so summery and by adding just a bit of sparkle it jazzes the whole thing up..

Barry M nail polish comes in so many lovely colours.. Especially pastels and I think I only paid around £4 for it which is a BARGIN! :)
OPI's Rainbow connection cost me £21 in a set along with another nail polish called 'Excuse Moi' which is just as sparkly and even more pink!! .. Worth investing as you can do so much with it

And most importantly - which was actually a coincidence.. - it matched my outfit for the day perfectly! :)
