Nailsnailsnails..

I constantly have to have painted nails.. And have a pretty extensive nail polish collection..
Back beforeee I was a uni student and had plenty of dosh to splash.. I'd only buy OPI nail polish, and seeing as I worked at a beauty salon for a couple of years, I was constantly tempted by the shiny glossy polishes..
Now I spend most of my time complaining that I'm broke.. So if i do buy new polish, I take forever to decide and make sure it's just the right one..

Right now.. These two are my summer essentails - and seeing as the OPI one is so sparkly I think it's as necessary as mascara :) -
OPI - Rainbow Connection

Barry M - Peach Melba

I love it! It's so summery and by adding just a bit of sparkle it jazzes the whole thing up..

Barry M nail polish comes in so many lovely colours.. Especially pastels and I think I only paid around £4 for it which is a BARGIN! :)
OPI's Rainbow connection cost me £21 in a set along with another nail polish called 'Excuse Moi' which is just as sparkly and even more pink!! .. Worth investing as you can do so much with it

And most importantly - which was actually a coincidence.. - it matched my outfit for the day perfectly! :)

Boo 2..

So I've already been asked why out of everything I thought it was a good idea to name my blog 'Boo..' so i thought I had better explain..
Well firstly It's what my boyfriend has called me for the almost two years we have been together... Something he came up with when he was off travelling the world .. So I'm known to quite a few people as Boo..
Coincidentally, it is also the name of my absolute obsession with this furry creature..

Quite possibly THE cutest dog..

I'm also a proud owner of the Boo book.. Which YOU TOO can buy here .. (Which is so cute and filled with fluffy pictures :) )

But not yet the owner of a cuddly boo.. Cause no student can stretch to £24 for a furry dog..
BUT if you can.. buy it here

So I think i've done enough advertising for Boo.. But if you don't know much about him honestly do take a look (here) cause if you're a lover of all things cute like me, you will melt .. and not just from this sunny English weather we're having :)

Moimoimoi

So I suppose I should introduce myself really before whittering on about all the things I love and enjoy and want to talk about but everyone not have a clue about who I am.. :)

My Name is Claudia if you hadn't already guessed and I live in Wiltshire.. Just outside of Bath
And am surrounded by pretty places like this! (Although they aren't in the picture, this place is home to LOADS of peacocks... Which frequently wake me up every morning as I live just around the corner!)
I think Bath is probably one of the nicest cities I've been too.. Especially in the summer... But I'm probably being bias.. Or I'm not very well travelled ;) haha

I go to Oxford Brookes university which is amazing.. I have some really lovely friends there including Greekarchitect/actor/politican/abercrombieguy/frontcoverofBrookesprospectusguy/soontobepresidentoftheworld .... Christos!... Who you can check out here.. ! http://wordscover.me/ (It's a good read)

I Loveeeee clothes and jewellery (LOVE jewellery) and all things pretty and girly - like most girls -

but I particularly enjoy interior design.. I'm sloooowly doing up my bedroom but unfortunately it's progress has ground to a holt due to lack of funds... But i've found myself a job for the summer so hopefully my room will be a vintagey pastel haven soon enough - not the half haven it is now :)

I also do up and restore my own furniture.. I will blog soon enough about the furniture in my room that I've brought back to life and how to do it yourself.. and where to find a bargin!

I think that will do for now.. Enough about me..
But if it's not enough ( ;) ) then find me on my twitter account .. ClaudiaHolbrook :)

Jubilee Cake

So I decided to do some baking today...  I found the recipe in a Co-op magazine and the picture enticed me to the extent of making it! (The recipe is below) ..
I haven't baked in quite a while.. and used to make endless supplies of cupcakes laden with lashings of swirly buttercream - ill have to find the photos - but thought this looked like the perfect summertime treat  :)

Three trips to the Co-op
and at least 3 hours later i had a scrummy 'White Chocolate and Raspberry Cake'!!

Without a doubt this cake tasted just as good (if not better) than it looked :) You could experiment too .. and make it a chocolate and cherry loaf instead but white chocolate and raspberry does seem very summery and fitting for the Queen's Jubilee
You could make it extra pretty by adding ribbon around the cake case or buy a coloured case to put it in...
Get baking!!

Recipe and instructions..

Beginnings..

The more time I sit and procrastinate on the internet the more blogs, vlogs, websites I look at.. and wonder if I should start one myself.. Seeing as there is no time like the present, I guess it would be a good time for me to start!

I'm not really sure what kind of blog I want this to become.. Cause although as much as I love fashion, make-up, jewelery, shopping, clothes, interior design........ I don't think I could make my mark in an 'industry' that is filled with so many already amazing sites and everyone has seemed to done everything!

So i guess in this case, I'm going to attempt to make this site more about the things that I enjoy... Photographs of whats going on and things I want to share with everyone.... Almost a fashion and beauty blog, but with my own touch :)

I hope that you will enjoy!
